ADVANCED SKILLS CAMPS
The “Advanced Skills Camp” is the most comprehensive camp program offered. Over a four-hour period, this camp will cover every aspect of the game of basketball. This camp is intense and is considered to be challenging as it is designed to prepare players for the upcoming season. Through a detailed “Whole-Part-Whole” Teaching Method, each camper undergoes a series of skill assessments - individual fundamentals and skills are taught (up to 3+ hours of training daily) and drilled and then pieced together for a better understanding of how these skills are to be properly used in a team setting. Please refer to the web-site for camp philosophy and other unique overall teaching methods and goals.
Attack and counter skills improved with drill variations and over a dozen workouts. These workouts are designed for players in high school, and middle school (ages 12 and up). The workouts are designed for all positions – point guards, shooting guards, and post players. All the can and will be done at game situational speed.
Skill Development is the primary focus where you will be engaged in drills that are specific to improving your ability to handle the ball in pressure situations, get open without the ball, finish near the rim, score in the post, score from the perimeter, and much more.
